HTET 2026 Application Fee – Application Fee for General, SC, PH & Other Candidates
The HTET application fee is not a flat number. It depends on two things together: your category, and how many levels you are applying for in the same registration. Getting this wrong at the payment step is one of the more common reasons candidates contact BSEH for a correction.
HTET 2026 Application Fee Table
| Category | One Level | Two Levels | Three Levels |
|---|---|---|---|
| SC / PH (Haryana domicile) | ₹500 | ₹900 | ₹1,200 |
| General, OBC, and all other candidates (including outside Haryana) | ₹1,000 | ₹1,800 | ₹2,400 |
The relaxed fee applies only to SC and PH candidates who hold Haryana domicile. An SC candidate from outside Haryana pays the general fee, not the relaxed one, since the relaxation is tied to domicile, not category alone. Visit official website for confirmation bseh.org.in.

How the Fee Is Calculated for Multiple Levels
If you choose two levels, for example Level 1 and Level 2 together, you pay the “two levels” fee for your category, not the sum of two separate “one level” fees. The same logic applies for all three levels. This is why the two-level and three-level fees in the table above are less than simply doubling or tripling the one-level amount.
How to Pay
Payment happens online at the end of the application form, generally through debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI, depending on what the portal, htet.eapplynow.com, supports for the current cycle. There is no offline fee payment option such as a bank challan for HTET.
What If My Payment Fails or Is Deducted Without Confirmation?
Do not pay again immediately. Wait for some time and log back in with your registration credentials to check whether the application shows as paid. If the amount was deducted from your bank account but the portal still shows the fee as pending after 24 to 48 hours, contact the payment gateway or your bank with the transaction reference before attempting a second payment, since a duplicate payment can be harder to get refunded than a single failed one.
Is the Fee Refundable?
No, the HTET application fee is non-refundable once paid, whether or not you eventually appear for the exam. The only situations where a refund is typically issued are BSEH-side ones, for example if the board itself cancels a particular level or shift, not situations caused by the candidate’s own choice to skip the exam.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do candidates from outside Haryana pay a higher fee than Haryana candidates?
General-category and OBC candidates pay the same fee regardless of state. The difference in the fee table is specifically for SC and PH candidates who hold Haryana domicile, who get the relaxed fee; the same categories from outside Haryana pay the general fee.
Can I pay the fee for two levels first and add a third level later at extra cost?
No. The level selection and the fee are usually locked together at the time of payment within a single registration cycle. Adding a level after payment is generally not supported; you would need to check with BSEH directly if this situation comes up.
Is there a separate fee for correction after submitting the form?
Basic corrections like a name spelling or mobile number are usually free within the correction window. Fee-affecting changes, such as a level change, are typically not processed as a simple correction at all.
Will the fee change if BSEH revises the notification?
It is possible, though uncommon mid-cycle. Always check the fee section of the live notification before paying, especially if you are applying close to the last date when a corrigendum is more likely to have been issued.
