HARYANA HTET 2025 SYLLABUS, EXAM DATE & PATTERN

HARYANA HTET 2025 SYLLABUS, EXAM DATE & PATTERN – Old Exam Papers 2015 – 2025

The Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) is the mandatory qualifying exam for anyone who wants to teach in a government or recognised private school in Haryana, from Primary (PRT) right up to Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) level. This page covers the HTET 2025 cycle in detail — notification, exam dates, pattern, eligibility, and syllabus — and is updated with the latest cycle information so you always know where things stand.

What is HTET?

HTET is conducted by the Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) to certify candidates as eligible to teach at three levels:

  • Level 1 (PRT): Primary Teacher, Classes I–V
  • Level 2 (TGT): Trained Graduate Teacher, Classes VI–VIII
  • Level 3 (PGT): Post Graduate Teacher, Classes IX–XII

Qualifying HTET does not guarantee a job by itself — it is an eligibility certificate that makes you eligible to apply for teaching recruitment in Haryana. The certificate is valid for life (as per current BSEH policy).

HTET 2025: Notification & Exam Date Timeline

The HTET cycle that is widely referred to as “HTET 2025” had an unusually long timeline — the original notification was issued in late 2024, but the exam itself was postponed twice before finally being conducted in mid-2025. Here is the timeline as officially confirmed by BSEH:

EventDate
Notification released30 October 2024
Originally scheduled exam date7 & 8 December 2024 (postponed due to technical reasons)
Revised exam date – Level 1 (PRT) & Level 3 (PGT)26 & 27 July 2025
Revised exam date – Level 2 (TGT)Rescheduled to 30 & 31 July 2025
Result declared2025, on bseh.org.in

Note: Because this cycle straddled two calendar years and went through reschedules, you will see it referenced as both “HTET 2024” and “HTET 2025” across different sources. Always cross-check the final admit card and official notice on bseh.org.in for your specific exam date.

Latest Update: HTET 2026 Result is Out

If you’re checking this page after mid-2026, note that the next HTET cycle (HTET 2026) has already been conducted and the result declared. Quick facts:

  • Level 3 (PGT) exam: 13 June 2026, 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM

  • Result declared: 22 August 2026
  • Candidates appeared: approximately 1,92,220 across all levels

This confirms BSEH has moved HTET back to a more predictable annual schedule. Keep this page bookmarked — it will be updated again once the next notification is released.

For a complete, level-wise breakdown of age limits, relaxations, and every accepted qualification pathway, see our detailed HTET Teacher Age Limit & Eligibility Guide.

HTET Syllabus – Level-Wise Breakdown

The syllabus for all three levels follows the subject weightage shown in the exam pattern tables above. Child Development & Pedagogy, Hindi, English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, and Haryana GK are common to every level. The difference is in the subject-specific portion for Level 2 and Level 3, which depends on the subject you want to teach. We’ve published dedicated, topic-wise syllabus guides for the most-searched PGT subjects:

Don’t see your subject listed yet? The Child Development & Pedagogy, Language, Reasoning, and Haryana GK portions are identical across subjects, so our practice quizzes below will still help regardless of your PGT/TGT subject.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there negative marking in HTET?

No. HTET has no negative marking at any level, so it is safe to attempt every question.

How long is the HTET certificate valid?

As per current BSEH policy, the HTET certificate is valid for a lifetime, so you do not need to reappear once you qualify at a given level.

Can I appear for more than one level in the same year?

Yes. Since the levels are held on different dates/shifts, eligible candidates can appear for Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 in the same cycle, provided they meet the educational qualification for each level.

Where do I check the official HTET notification?

Always confirm dates, fees, and eligibility on the official BSEH website, bseh.org.in, since exam schedules have changed at short notice in past cycles.

This page is updated periodically to reflect the latest confirmed HTET notification, exam dates, and results. Bookmark it and check back closer to your exam.
