HTET 2026 Application Form: Registration Date, Last Date & How to Apply
Filling the HTET form is straightforward once you know the sequence. Most mistakes happen not because the form is complicated, but because candidates rush through the photo upload, the category selection, or the level selection without reading each screen carefully.
HTET 2026 Application Dates
Based on the September 2026 notification cycle, registration is expected to open in September 2026 and close in October 2026, with a short correction window right after the last date. These dates are still provisional; the confirmed dates will appear on the notification PDF covered in our HTET 2026 Notification PDF guide, and on the HTET 2026 Important Dates page once BSEH publishes them.
Where to Apply
Applications are accepted only online, through htet.eapplynow.com or the application link shared on bseh.org.in. There is no offline or postal application route for HTET.
How to Apply for HTET 2026: Step by Step
- Register with basic details. Provide your name, date of birth, mobile number, and email exactly as they appear on your identity proof. Small mismatches here can cause admit card correction requests later.
- Choose your level or levels. Select Level 1 (PRT), Level 2 (TGT), Level 3 (PGT), or a combination. You do not need separate registrations for each level; one form covers all levels you choose.
- Fill educational and personal details. This includes your qualifying degree, category, and Haryana domicile status if applicable, since these decide both your eligibility and your fee.
- Upload photograph and signature. Follow the exact size and format given on the form; a photo that does not match specification is one of the most common reasons for rejection at the scrutiny stage.
- Pay the application fee. Fee varies by category and number of levels selected; the full table is in our HTET 2026 Application Fee guide.
- Review and submit. Check every field before final submission, since some details cannot be changed once submitted, even inside the correction window.
- Save and print the confirmation page. Keep both a digital and a printed copy until your admit card is issued.
What the Correction Window Does and Does Not Cover
BSEH typically opens a short correction window right after the application closes. This usually allows fixing details such as a typed name error or a wrong mobile number. It does not usually allow changing your chosen level, your category, or your exam city once the application closes, since these affect the fee already paid and the centre allocation already in progress. If any of these fields is wrong, contact the board directly rather than assuming the correction window will fix it.
Common Mistakes While Applying
- Selecting the wrong level because the candidate confused the qualification required for PRT, TGT, and PGT. Check the HTET 2026 Eligibility Criteria guide before selecting.
- Uploading a photograph taken years ago instead of a recent one, which can cause a mismatch at the exam centre during verification.
- Paying the fee for one level and then trying to add a second level afterward. Levels must usually be selected before payment, since the fee is calculated on the combination chosen.
- Not saving the registration number and password immediately after submission. This number is needed to download the admit card, check the answer key, and view the result later.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I edit my selected level after payment?
Generally no. Levels are locked once the fee for that combination is paid, since a change would alter the amount owed. Confirm your level choice before proceeding to payment.
What if my payment is deducted but the form shows as not submitted?
Wait a few hours and check your application status by logging back in with your registration credentials before attempting payment again, since a failed confirmation screen does not always mean the payment itself failed.
Do final-year students need to wait for their final result before applying?
This depends on the exact wording in the current notification. Some HTET cycles have allowed final-year candidates to apply provisionally; others have not. Check the eligibility section of the notification PDF for this cycle rather than assuming last year’s rule still applies.
Is there an application fee refund if I do not appear for the exam?
No. The application fee is non-refundable once paid, whether or not you appear for the exam, except in rare cases where BSEH itself cancels a level or shift.
