HTET Previous Year Question Papers 2019 – HTET Previous Year Question Paper with Answer Key
The Board of School Education, Haryana ran HTET 2019 on 16 and 17 November that year, released the answer key just two days later on 19 November, and didn’t declare results until 9 January 2020. That’s a long wait if you sat the exam — you don’t have to repeat it here. This is the complete download hub for that cycle: every HTET 2019 question paper, PRT through PGT, matched with the official BSEH answer key next to each one. Today we are providing HTET old Exam papers (HTET Old Question Paper 2019) Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3.
There’s a real reason to add a 2019 paper to your practice pile rather than only working through the most recent one or two cycles. The exam format hasn’t shifted meaningfully since, so everything you learn from this paper still applies directly — and it’s distinct enough from more recent cycles that you’ll be solving genuinely unfamiliar questions rather than ones you’ve half-memorized already.

The Structure Every Level Shares
PRT, TGT and PGT are all built on the same 90-mark common core, then split for the remaining 60 marks depending on the post.
The 90-Mark Common Core
| Section | Marks |
|---|---|
| Child Development & Pedagogy | 30 |
| Languages (Hindi 15 + English 15) | 30 |
| General Studies (Quant. Aptitude 10 + Reasoning 10 + Haryana GK 10) | 30 |
Where the Levels Split
PRT candidates divide the remaining 60 marks between Core Mathematics (30) and Environmental Studies (30). TGT and PGT instead put the entire 60 marks on the candidate’s chosen specialization. It’s the one real structural difference between PRT and the other two levels; everything else in the pattern is identical.
Scoring the 2019 Papers Correctly
Match your question booklet’s set code against the correct answer-key series before marking anything — BSEH runs multiple sets to limit copying, and using the wrong series will throw off your entire score.
The math is simple: total score equals correct answers, since each right answer is worth one mark and there’s no penalty for a wrong one. 126 correct out of 150 is a raw score of 126, nothing to adjust.
Worth knowing about this specific cycle: BSEH accepted objections against the provisional answer key for five days after release (21 to 25 November 2019), which means the final key candidates were actually scored against differs slightly from the provisional one. If you’re checking your work against an older provisional copy rather than the final revised key, your count might land a mark or two off from what the official result eventually showed.
Frequently Asked Questions
When exactly was HTET 2019 held?
On 16 and 17 November 2019, with BSEH releasing the provisional answer key on 19 November 2019 and declaring results on 9 January 2020.
Is the common section identical across PRT, TGT and PGT for this cycle?
The syllabus topics for CDP, Languages and General Studies are the same across all three levels, but question difficulty scales up with the teaching level — PGT’s common section runs noticeably harder than the same topics tested at PRT.
Are papers from 2019 still worth solving today?
Yes. BSEH’s question format and difficulty haven’t shifted dramatically since, and a paper from a slightly older cycle gives you genuinely fresh questions to practice with rather than ones you may have already seen.
What is the HTET qualifying cutoff?
90 marks out of 150 (60%) for General category candidates, and 82 marks out of 150 (55%) for SC and PH candidates of Haryana, uniform across all three levels and consistent across every recent cycle.
Does HTET have negative marking?
No. There is no negative marking at any HTET level, so attempting every question — including an educated guess — can only help your raw score.
