HTET PGT Previous Year Question Paper 2024 (All 21 Subjects, Free PDF)

I opened every one of these papers before putting them on this page. Not skimmed the file names. Actually opened the PDF, counted the pages, checked the question count against what BSEH printed on the cover. That’s not normal for a “download page,” but most download pages on this topic hand you a Google Drive folder and walk away, and a folder with 21 unlabelled-looking PDFs isn’t useful to someone revising Political Science at 11 PM.

So this page does one thing differently: every subject links straight to its own PDF. Click Biology, you get Biology. No folder to dig through, no account to create, no email to hand over.

Quick Facts: HTET PGT 2024 Paper

The 2024 HTET PGT paper (Level 3, for Lecturer posts) runs 150 objective questions for 150 marks, in 2 hours 30 minutes. There’s no negative marking. Each subject paper is printed in four sets (A, B, C, D) to stop copying in the exam hall, and every set carries the same syllabus and difficulty, just reordered. BSEH conducts the exam.

The question booklet itself is split into two clear parts. Part I covers Child Development and Pedagogy plus languages: Questions 1 to 30 are Child Development and Pedagogy, 31 to 60 are Hindi and English combined. Part II, Questions 61 to 150, is your actual subject: Biology, Economics, Political Science, whatever you’re sitting for. That’s 90 marks riding on subject knowledge alone, which is why most candidates lose more time on Part II than Part I even though Part I comes first in the booklet.

Why the Set A/B/C/D Thing Matters

Every subject paper above is Set A. If you’ve seen a friend’s copy from the same exam and the question order looks completely different, that’s not a printing error. It’s Set B, C, or D. Same 150 questions, same marks distribution, shuffled order so the person next to you can’t just glance sideways. For revision purposes it makes zero difference which set you practice from; the syllabus coverage is identical. I’m linking Set A across the board here so you’re not hunting for a matching set for every subject.

How to Actually Use These Papers

Downloading a PDF and reading through it once is close to useless. Here’s what actually moves the needle, and it’s the same three-pass method I’d tell anyone sitting HTET, HSSC, or CTET:

First pass: timed, no shortcuts. Set a timer for 2 hours 30 minutes and attempt the whole paper like it’s exam day. Don’t check answers mid-way. The point isn’t the score, it’s finding out whether you can actually finish 150 questions in the time given. A lot of candidates run out of time on Part II because they burned 40 minutes on Child Development and Pedagogy questions they weren’t sure about.

Second pass: error log. Go through every wrong answer and write down why it was wrong: didn’t know the fact, knew it but picked wrong, misread the question. These are three different problems with three different fixes, and lumping them together is why the same mistakes repeat across years.

Third pass: pattern spotting. Pull up two or three years of the same subject’s paper side by side. HTET recycles concepts more than it recycles exact questions, a Political Science paper that asked about the 42nd Amendment last year will ask about a different amendment this year, but it’ll ask about an amendment. That’s the pattern worth catching, not the specific question.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the HTET PGT 2024 question paper available for all subjects?

Yes, all 21 PGT subjects conducted by BSEH in 2024 are linked above, each as a separate PDF.

How many questions are there in the HTET PGT paper?

150 objective-type questions for 150 marks, to be attempted in 2 hours 30 minutes.

Is there negative marking in HTET?

No. HTET does not deduct marks for wrong answers, so attempt every question.

What’s the difference between HTET Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3?

Level 1 is for PRT (Primary Teacher, classes 1–5), Level 2 is for TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher, classes 6–8), and Level 3 is for PGT (Post Graduate Teacher / Lecturer, classes 9–12). This page covers Level 3.

Do I need to sign up or log in to download these papers?

No. Every link goes straight to the PDF on Google Drive. Click, view, download. No account required.

Are these papers useful for HSSC or other Haryana government exam preparation too?

Partly. The General Awareness and Reasoning-adjacent sections overlap with other Haryana exams, but the subject-specific 90 marks are HTET-specific and won’t transfer directly.
